They say the two strongest emotions human beings experience are love and fear. With that being said, I think the key to being a true and engaging artist is to have an overwhelming understanding of both. A pure love for your art surpassing any negativity or hate that will inevitably be thrown your way, and almost more importantly, a knowledge of risk and fear, trumped by a blatant disregard for each.
