GRATITUDE: VOL 1

This past month has been uncharacteristically tragic, not just for me personally, but for the world. Amid all the chaos, horror, and heartache, I feel it’s important (for my own sanity) to note down in black and white just a few beautiful things I’m grateful for at the moment:

  • True Story: Sometimes I just Google ‘Tupac Smiling’ and scroll through pictures. Maybe that’s absolutely ridiculous of me, but come on – dude had a great smile; Also, his EYELASHES. Another awesome thing featuring Tupac is the film Poetic Justice. If you haven’t seen it, change that.

23 YEARS OF WISDOM

Birthdays are bittersweet because they magnify all the great things we have and amazing people we call loved ones, but they are also an evil alarm clock ominously reminding us of the things we lack or achievements which haven’t come to pass.

23 years is a significant amount of time to have lived, and I like to think I haven’t wasted it. Over the years I have acquired knowledge, shared knowledge, forgotten knowledge, rejected knowledge, & relearnt knowledge. That’s life. Today the most important things I know and hold onto are actually some of the first things I was taught as a young child. It’s funny how that works.
